Dr. Kristen Acesta is a Naturopathic Physician specializing in mind-body therapies; addressing the connection between our nervous system, conditions of chronic stress, and how that manifests into our emotional, feeling, and thinking world.  She focuses her treatments on the foundations of health (diet, movement, sleep, and social support) through the use of movement therapy, diet and lifestyle modifications, mindfulness based practices, herbal and nutrient support, supplement recommendations, and patient education.

Courtney Mohr Taylor, LMHC is a humanistic therapist who believes that every individual has inherent motivation to fulfill their internal needs and adapt the potential for self-actualization.  Self-actualization may include creative endeavors, spiritual enlightenment, altruism, and embracing the pursuit of wisdom. Through the application of a person-centered approach, Courtney engages personal growth and creative process to find a purpose to reach a true meaning.
Health  /helTH/  a simple equation

Genetics [A]:  What we are born with.  We can look at our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents and see a long lineage of health patterns due to our genetic makeup.  Genetics are what determines what eye color we have all the way to what diseases we may be susceptible to.

Lifestyle and Social factors [B]:  What we choose to put into and do to our body.  This is probably the most versatile and adjustable variable in our quality of health.  We work with each individual to modify and optimize their lifestyle habits and choices to best suit their needs. Diet, exercise, sleep, and relationships are our foundations of health and the most influential aspects to this equation.

Environmental factors [C]:  Our physical environment that surrounds us.  Our body is equipped with detoxification and depuration mechanisms, but sometimes our “toxic load”  becomes too great and causes a disruption in our balance of health.  Consider the environmental impact on your health, such as the containers we eat from, the air we breath, water we drink, pets we snuggle with, etc.

Health [D]:  The result of the equation.  The quality of your health is directly related the variables described above.  We can address all aspects of the equation and guide you to your optimal being.  Be curious about this adventure.  It is an ever rewarding and self fulfilling journey, and it begins now.
